And you know where your focus point is in the middle also i can turn up the vignette. The aperture controls how much blur you want in an outside circle for instance so if i crank that all the way up you can see basically very soft focus on the edges. And with each one of these controls over on the right hand side you can control various aspects of what s going on with the image. Which is a circular orientation and you can see that it puts. There also you can over here you have your basically six different modes of selective focus. It s going to give me the gridlines and i ll be able to to crop and such if you need to do any adjustment. With this if we want i have a crop button down here. I ve got some test images over here and so what you do is you basically drag one and drop it on to the focus window and it will open now what you re gonna see in the interface is a couple things first of all we can go full screen mode. And i think the easiest way to show you is just let s go ahead and bring in an image and check it out. That you can control that allows you to bring attention to or emphasize certain parts of your image. What it deals with is selective focus control or basically you know if you ve ever dealt with perspective control lenses or even macro lenses.Īnd what it s going to do is it s going to as a way of putting a blur into your image. I want to show you focus okay so we re gonna take a look at focus 2 here and i want to show you how this works in why i m pretty impressed with this first of all it s a very simple application. But you know you ve seen one of the current trends that you see a lot is people who take you know kind of urban landscape. Where you actually narrow the focus into a specific deal and i ll show you what i m talking about in a minute. And myself included have also enjoyed using these the wrong way and what it does is actually throws the focus plane and you can get some really interesting tilt and shift effects. You know things of that nature is that you know you re able to control some of the prospective distortions that you see in the lens and a lot of photographers. It s where your pictures being taken the idea behind this originally was for something like architectural photos. And it what it does is it changes the juxtaposition to the film plane or the sensor plane. We re basically able to do that with your lens. Where you can actually tilt and shift and move the standards on the large format camera. What that stands for and they re basically designed in similar to how large format cameras work. Another fabulous application that they make and today i want to look at focus and this is a desktop app that basically deals with selective focus techniques and this is post processing and what it emulates is if you ve ever used a prospective control lens in that kind of canon.
